Matthew and Isla blog:
We’ve got our new book ‘A Long Walk to Water’ by Linda Sue Park. We’ve started reading it and it’s very interesting, it’s set in two different time lines. Set in Sudan in Africa, it shows how people have to walk to collect water. In science we are learning about vertebrates: birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals and fish. We are looking about skeletons and how we are made. We have been looking at what each one would have like scaly skin, dry skin, moist skin etc. On Thursday we had some representatives of the Police, who spoke on safety and how not to rise our bikes on the road. They showed us some videos of people who were riding dangerously and suffered the consequences. Some of them were quite frightening. Its really helped us to realise how to behave on the road. Our topic is Africa, yesterday in PPA we made sunset silhouettes using different materials to make a display later on. Some of us went cooking and made our own pasta dinners. In maths we are converting measurements. It’s been a fantastic week.
