I became headteacher of Teynham CE Primary School in September 2009. 

Learn, Enjoy, Grow, our school motto, is fundamental to ensuring that all our children are given the best possible opportunities to succeed in all they do. I am proud to lead a hard working and dedicated team of staff who go ‘above and beyond’ every day.

A Local Authority appointment on the 30.01.20 term of office four years, whose attendance over the last year is 100%. A declared a business interest as a Sole Trader of a Local Catering Company, and does not earn over £100,000.  Mrs Whittaker is responsible for Safeguarding, Health and Safety Quality of Teaching and Learning.

Governor Action Plan – Responsibility from SIP: Outcomes for children and learners

I have been a Foundation Governor since 2019.

I have worked in early years for over 30 years at nurseries and preschools as deputy manager and then manager/owner.

My children had many happy years at Teynham Primary School and I’m keen to see that continue for the current roll, especially as we expand.

I love cats, reading, singing and signing.

I’m Miranda and I am a co-opted governor. I started the role in September 2022 when I stepped up as Manager of Teynham Community Preschool. My monitoring role is EYFS as I have experience in this field.

In my spare time I enjoy days out with my family or curling up with a book. I am also a leader at the local brownies group.

Hi, I’m Dan, a parent governor and been in roll since November 2022. I am fortunate to have 2 children in the school setting, both currently in Key stage 1. I became a school governor as I fully believe in the school’s ethos and support all it stands for where the children’s happiness and education are the forefront of every decision. I feel my experience as parent and a manager at a large utility company can bring value to the roll and knowing my views and opinions are always held in high regard enables me to contribute in the decisions around the running of the school. My responsibilities and focus are on Health and safety and Pupil Premium.

‘Hello! I’m Adam and I’ve been a Parent Governor since November 2022. I have two wonderful daughters who attend the school and love it.
 
I am a big believer that we continue to create an environment where our children can learn within a culture of acceptance, build resilience and flourish in unique ways. I love the fact that the vision and ethos of the school is underpinned by key Biblical values.
 
One of the main parts of my role is to oversee Attendance at the school. As a governing body we look to ensure that as each child attends, it gives them best opportunity to ‘Learn, Enjoy and Grow’.’

I became a teacher at Teynham CE Primary School in September 2008. I then became the Deputy Headteacher in 2015. I am passionate about creating a calm, nurturing ethos, which can give all of the children the best possibility to succeed in their learning.
