In our reading, we’ve been learning about how Fair Trade  helps and changes people’s lives.  They sponsor people so they can get work,  the farms that grow the cocoa beans had been using young children to open the bean with machetes. Fair Trade has stopped this and encouraged them to go to school to get educated. Today is Red Nose Day and we’ve written poems, and thought about how money given to this charity could help homeless people and refugees.  £310 a month will help educate people to speak different languages.  £3 will get a homeless person a hot meal.  There’s going to be a talent Show this afternoon  to help raise money.  In PPA this week we made our Red Nose out of card and paper.  In Jigsaw we’ve been thinking about courage.  In maths we’ve been learning symmetry and fractions and x times.
