This term our topic is ‘Coastline’.
In Science we have been learning all about floating and sinking. We had to make predictions before we tested our objects. It was great fun!
In Maths we have been writing subtraction number sentences using part whole models to help us.
In Art we have made Lighthouse silhouette pictures. We used pastels to colour a sunset and then used tape to make the lighthouse beams. We have also used water colours to paint an under the sea scene.
Our story ‘Hello Lighthouse’ is all about a lonely lighthouse keeper. His wife arrives and helps with the jobs in the lighthouse. At the end of the story they have to leave the lighthouse because a new light is fitted which runs on electricity. We have explored the story and new vocabularly in our RIC lessons.
In RE we have been exploring the good news that Jesus brings. He tells us to love, forgive and help people. We then looked at a charity which helps the homeless.
